I agree. Not too far from Saltcoats.

Creetown is a small seaside town in the Stewartry of Kirkcudbright, in Galloway in the Dumfries and Galloway council area in south-west Scotland.

The birth of their daughter Annie in 1885 gives same date of marriage but place Kirkmabreck.

Yes, Creetown, which is in the parish of Kirkmabreck.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

There is a very useful, albeit somewhat temperamental, boundary viewer at NLS. Here is a view with St Georges selected in the relevant period, and zoomed out so that you can get your bearings. Zoom in to see that the Rutland Hotel was indeed St Georges at that date.

So is Scotland Street - St George is a very peculiar shape!
