William THREADER
« on: Friday 28 March 25 05:22 GMT (UK) »
William THREADER married Frances/Fanny WOOLLETT at St Mary Islington on 1 Oct 1851. Fanny was born in Norwich in 1823.

They had two daughters, Mary Elizabeth born 2 Nov 1851, and Fanny Jane in Sep qtr 1853.

In 1861 Fanny Jane is in Marylebone, not with her mother and sister. Fanny (the mother) and Mary the daughter are with her sister Mary Ann and her husband John SACKETT at 39 Alfred St in Islington. Fanny the mother is aged 35 and now a widow, so the husband has died between 1854 and 1861.

No age given on the marriage to Fanny, only of full age. William names his father as Thomas on the marriage entry.

Can anyone find a suitable candidate for this William please.

Thanks

Thanks Kay. Had seen that one but thought he might be a bit too young.

Possibly too young but maybe worth getting the cheap death cert from the GRO

I noticed this family in 1841?? Living at Pembroke Mews, North, St George Hanover Square, London & Middlesex  I see William's father is listed as a Coachman on the 1851 marriage cert

Thomas   Threader   Male   39   M S   Not born in County
William   Threader   Male   10  Not born in County
John   Threader   Male   6   Middlesex, England

Thanks Kay.

I did get the death cert and I believe it is him. Not from his name and address but the name of the informant, who was Mary Ann Sackett.

Still can't find him in 1851 though.

Found the brother John's baptism at St George Hanover Square, and from that found a baptism for a William THREDDER at the same church in 1831. Parents Thomas and Mary.

Good news re the death cert

I can't see William or his father in 1851 either.   I think his brother John was a visitor at Worthing in Sussex in 1851

Probably is him.

Thomas THREADER married Mary WALTON at St George Hanover Square on 18 Mar 1830. A John THREADER was one of the witnesses.
