Charlie and Sybil Morris
« on: Saturday 05 April 25 10:27 BST (UK) »
Charlie and Sybil were both born in Oxfordshire and died in the New Forest. They moved there sometime after 1939. Charlie had a shop in Headington before moving to Hampshire. It was down Windmill Road in Headington and is now Headington Homewares I believe. Any photos of the shop would be appreciated. I dont actually know alot about Sybil’s Life. Just that she was married to Uncle Charlie.

1911 census
Black Bourton, Oxfordshire

Morris, William Edward  Head  M  28  b Faringdon
Morris, Kate Ruth  Wife  F  30  b Sedgeberrow Ter, Worcestershire
Morris, Ciceley Evelyn  Daughter  F   4  b Hawton Beaucham Ter, Worcestershire

Morris, Sybil Mary  Daughter  F  1  b Caversham, Oxfordshire

I suspect "Hawton Beacham" is actually Naunton Beauchamp! :D

Can't see that Charles and Sybil were related despite the same surname. Just done a quick trawl through censuses and bmd indexes and looks like Sybil's Morrises came from Gloucestershire and Charles's were from Oxfordshire
Berks / Oxon: Eltham, Annetts, Wiltshire (surname not county), Hawkins, Pembroke, Partridge
Dorset / Hants: Derham, Stride, Purkiss, Sibley
Yorkshire: Pottage, Carr, Blackburn, Depledge
Sussex: Goodyer, Christopher, Trevatt
Lanark: Scott (soldier went to Jersey CI)
Jersey: Fowler, Huelin, Scott
