My goodness, a colouful register, Oldbury (which started out as it's own Parish)...as there were yrs with LESS than one event...
Anno Dni 1584, 1590 & 1595.  "Nothing fell out to be Registered this year aforesaid."
Later blank ones said "Nothinge registered this yeare."
Little info given in those oldies so even harder to get back from there...
Interesting timeline for Oldbury chapel... https://www.historyofoldbury.co.uk/2timeline.htm

Hi, I didn’t mean that necessarily they lived at Rhos Fiddle, more that it seems to be a descriptive name, so perhaps there was one more locally. Not necessarily inn related.

Oh, absolutely, which is why I looked for a population. The register shows loads of couples from other Parishes...Just that none ever are given the status of "Ye" by the registrar.

Thank you all for your help and suggestions.

I have since had a resposnse from the Shropshire Family History Society. There is a will for a Mary Weale of The Fiddle in the Parish of Oldbury. It's a pre-1826 will, and I have yet to get hold of a copy.

Also, on the Oldbury tithe map, dated 1839, plot 206, the Fiddle House and garden is in the occupation of Thomas Nock, though he is not there in 1841, the landowner was Thomas Whitmore, in the tithe apportionments. Unfortunately, I don't have a subscription to the Genealogist, and can't find a copy of the map online

There is also an article in the 8th April 1983 issue of the Bridgnorth Journal about The Fiddle public house being at the foot of Railway St. It seems it was demolished to clear space for the railway tunnel. FindMyPast sadly does not have this issue online :(

This, I think, clears my questions.
