I too have been considering that Mr Young has 3 initials.  The second one requires him to go beyond the confines of the line where a letter would naturally sit, but to loop beneath (as in the Y and g).  I was thinking more F. J. A?  Appreciate your thoughts.  Its definitely YOUNG though.

Are Electoral Registers available for that address for 1946

As far as the website goes, there is only access to 1940 and Jessie wasn't on that only the 1935.

Edited:  I only accessed the Valuation Rolls.  Not sure how to look at the Electoral Registers.  Is that also via ScotlandsPeople, or another source.

Awarded Military Medal .Mechanical Staff-Sergeant ~ Wright Sugden, M.T., A.S. C., has been awarded the Military Medal for " conspicuous gallantry in bringing up ammunition to the firing line  at the Battle of Loos." The sergeant is the son in-law of the well-known Edinburgh Souter, Mr William Anderson, architect, 49 Falcon Gardens, Edinburgh. Previous to the war he resided in London, and at one time was manager of a motor engineering firm in Edinburgh.
