Hello again.

Yes, I feel it may take a while and as you say a bit of luck, more to be going on with.

Regards
Kathleen

Hello again Nick

This is a bit of a shot in the dark, but do you have any information regarding James Cunningham's death.   I have searched Scotland's People but get no joy.

Regards
kathleen

Just had a quick look at Scotlandspeople for death of James Cunningham 1903-1952 birth year 1854 +/- 2 years and there are 30 of whom 8 died within Glasgow City as a whole.

I suggest you look at his address in the 1901 census then check Valuation Rolls 1913/4 to see if he was at the same address.  Just enter the road and or district here:
http://theglasgowstory.com/valsearch.php

If he was still living in 1913 that will narrow the 8 to fewer.

Andrew Cunningham and Esther Park Cunningham (nee Reid) were living at 49 Fisher Street Dennistoun during WW1, but I have not checked the Valuation Rolls 1913/4.  Maybe James was living nearby.

Best I can suggest.

Hello Nick

Thank you very much for that, I must have been searching over too long a time span or something.   I thought it was strange that I couldn't find anything.

I didn't know about the valuation roll at all so that is a new source for me.

Regards
Kathleen

Hi all, I see in this thread asking about Andrew Cunningham going to Australia. Andrew Cunningham born in Montrose scottland in 1831, he was the son of Andrew Cunningham born in 1803 in Tyrone, Ireland. This is my heritage and I can help with the life after arrival here in Australia, if anyone likes. I'd like information on his father's and my connections to Ireland as I've only got information back to this point. Regards Mick Cunningham, Australia.
