Hello David,

MANY thanks for your time and trouble in looking this up for me.  It makes perfect sense: Mary LANE was their long time servant, appearing on many different census years with the family.   Thank you for explaining the link with Sonning too: that makes sense now.   The entry in Piggots 1830 is not entirely unexpected and confirms their presence in Market Place at this time (James DEHAY had been working at Wallingford Poor House at the time preceding and possibly after this).
