1836 Oxford birth
« on: Tuesday 20 September 05 17:53 BST (UK) »
I am trying to trace the family of Jane Elizabeth Watts who was born in Oxford in 1836. Unfortunately I have no other information on her except that she married Samuel Homan and moved to North London in the 1850's.
Regards Diane

Hi

I am not sure if this will help much but I have an index to the baptisms in Oxford City 1800-1837 - the only possible one is of Jane Watts baptised Febuary 1835 at the Wesleyan Methodist Church - unfortunatly I don't have the registers for that church

The baptism in the Wesleyan church is New Inn Hall

1835 Feb 8 Jane d William & Keziah, shoemaker, St Thomas, Oxford.

There's also

1833 May - Kezia d William & Keziah, - , St Thomas, Oxford.

The only Jane of the right age on the 1841 census is
Penson's Gardens St Ebbe

WATTS William 43 Cordwainer N
WATTS Kesiah 40 Y
BROOKS Harriet 25 Y
WATTS John 18 Y
WATTS Kesiah 8 Y
WATTS Jane 6 Y
BROOKS Louisa 1 Y

Hope that helps
