Have got that saved !

I looked up William Garforth on the 1881.  There are about 4 i think, 3 born in Lancs and one born in Lickinghall Yorks, I think this should read Sicklinghall, which is nowhere near Whitby but it's not too far away from Bramhope where Thomas was born.

On the 1881 Census he's listed as married but his wife is not with him.  He's working as a gardener in a large house with lots of servants in wales.

I'll look on the 1901 and see if he's on there.

On the 1891 census the William Garforth (aged 49) born in Sicklinghall
is living at :

 52 Scarborough Terrace, Bramley, Leeds

  William Garforth  Head  49  Farm Labourer  B: Sicklinghall
  Hannah Garforth Wife   72 !                         B: Spofforth

Hannah Garforth was living with one of those lodgers on the 1881 too, While William was working in wales.   funny carry on!  lol

Also on the 1881 with William in Wales was a servant girl.  who was born in Spoffoth.  ummm!

I,m not sure who Williams parents are yet, and wont know till i get his cert.  Susannah had a brother called Richard.  so William could be either of these two.
