We have found the shipping records of a family who came from Meath to Australia in 1877 and wondered if there is any way of checking if they married before they left Ireland.

In 1877 Matthew Anderson was 35 (parents William and Jane from Meath)
Bridget was 34 (father John Murtigh from Meath)
They had 2 sons William 3 and Patrick 2 born Meath but William's marriage in 1894 states he was born in Durham ??

Can anyone help ?
