1851 Look up - Griffiths - Mold/Gwernafield
« on: Friday 23 September 05 12:56 BST (UK) »
Hi
Can someone look up a Henry Griffiths born circa 1848 in Gwernafield. Please also look under Griffith just in case! Not sure who his parents were, that is what im after and any other family members.

Plus if anyone can find him on 1861 I would be greatful, he might be in Denbighshire though. Unfortunately on one census his place of birth changes from Gwernafield to where he was living which was Llanarmon D C in Denbighshire.

Thanks in advance!

Alex

Thanks so much for that Paul. Do you have any marriage info? I would like to know what Martha's maiden name was? Although its a possibility they might have married in Shropshire as Amelia was born there.
Do you have access to the 1841 census?
I cant find them on the 1861 census though.

Thanks again for all this!

Hi Alex,
I did have a look in the marriages for William & Martha but there is no sign of their marriage in Gwernafield.

I'll look for the on the 41 & 61 Census next time I go to the Archives.

Is Henry you line? If so I will see what there is on him if you like, Marriage, Children's Baptisms etc..

Paul.

Hi Paul

Thanks for this.

Yeah Henry is my direct line, the Henry from 1851 son of William, married a Jane Jones and one of their sons was also called Henry born around 1879, in Llanarmon Dyffrn Ceiriog in Denbighshire. This Henry then married a Sarah Brown in 1903 in Llangollen and one of their sons, Clifford Handel (funny old middle name!) born 1923 in Glyn Ceiriog married a Joan Hallas in Ashton under Lyne in Lancashire. Their only child David Roland born 1947 married Diane Mary Marshall in 1969 and I am the youngest of their three children! Dont have any of my own yet.

Thanks again

Alex
