Margaret Harrison

I am trying to trace a Margaret Harrison who is listed in an New South Wales marriage registration as born in Ellesmere. I have searched for the same place name in Australia but it does not appear to exist. Since her husband was from Liverpool then she could be from Cheshire. She was born around 1862.

Hi Brian

You need to search the http://www.cheshirebmd.org.uk/

There are a few born in the Wirral registration district around that time, or if you know her fathers/mothers names we could search the 1871 census for her.

Hi Peter,
Thanks for the info.
I have tried the Cheshire site previously but could not find a match. Her father was William and mother looks like Caroline.
The Australian cert. only has Ellesmere. Could possible be in Shropshire as there is an Ellemere there.
Is the Cheshire one Ellesmere Port or is there an Ellesmere town or village?
