Monamy and Isherwood
« on: Monday 26 September 05 19:49 BST (UK) »
My g-grandmother was Eleanor Mary Isherwood nee Monamy. As far as I can find out her mother was Celestine Monamy nee Benard and her father was John Monamy.

Eleanor was born about 1863 in St Saviour, Jersey and had siblings: Abraham, Mary Ann, Jane, Celina, Jane Emily, Lydia and Alfred.  I am not positive about all those names and there may be more.

I would be grateful for any information on the Monamy family and the Isherwood family who lived in St Helier. I have Edwin, born around 1850 and William born around 1802.

Any information would be welcome.

Rona

ISHERWOOD
William Head Marr 60 Labourer b St Helier
Matilda Wife Marr 51 Charwoman b England
James Son 16 Baker b St Helier
Samuel G Son 14 Confectioner b St Helier
Elizabeth Daur 12 b St Helier

Can't find Edwin anywhere on the 1871 census so maybe he was away at sea.

If there is anyone I've forgotten or any years that you'd like looking up please feel free to ask. I think I've done most of them but I may have missed something.
Regards
Anne
