ACOCKS or ECOCKS of Idbury

G'day People,

Is anyone doing genealogy research of Ecocks or Acocks in Idbury?

I have an Ann Ecocks marrying a William Townsend 9 Nov 1818. Someone found the following for me:

Idbury Parish records
Bapt
1798 Mar 25 Acocks Ann d of William & Sarah. William was born about 1796 Sarsden Oxfordshire and Sarah Ecocks born about 1798 in Idbury. That is all I know about the Acocks/Ecocks/

William Ecock & Mary Ann Waterman of Chilson married at Idbury, 10 Jun 1820

George Ecocks of Idbury & Sophia Simms married at Swinbrook, 6 Nov 1831

Edward/Richard Acock of Stow GLS & Mary Taylor married at Burford,  10 Jul 1775

Thomas Acock of Kempscott & Mary Yarneton married at Alverscot, 23 Sept 1762

Thomas Acock of Ox St Ebbe & Ann Kempster of Ox St Ebbe married at Ox St Aldate, 7 Jan 1816

Thomas Acock of Ox St Peter E & Clara Eliza Morton married at Ox St Giles,  30 Jul 1835

Thomas Acocke of Shutford & Mary Grafton married at Epwell, 10 Jul 1631

Thomas Acocks & Anne Pembry maried at Chipping Norton, 21 May 1712

Samuel Acoks & Elizabeth Lanchbere married at Fifield, 21 Jan 1811

There is also a list for female marriages, and the list only goes up to 1837.

So no marriage between a William and a Sarah, so maybe they came from out of the county?

There may be other ways of spelling the surname i haven't thought about, but i hope the above helps in some way.
