1841/1851 lookup Robert Partridge of Riseley

Hi; please can I have 1841 / 1851 census look ups for Robert Partridge b 1809 Bletsoe who married Mary Dennis in 1829 in Riseley Beds. 1861 census has them in Rotten Row Riseley. Also any other Dennis family info of Riseley welcome.

Hi John,
              I think I may have a Dennis family of Riseley connection for you. John Woodham married Ann Dennis at Riseley on 16th June 1824 and I believe they were my great great great grandparents. ( I hope I have the right amount of greats there.)
             Ann Dennis I think was the daughter of James and Rebecca Dennis and was baptised at Riseley on the 30th november 1806.
           To be honest I havnt done a lot of work on this line yet but I hope some of it may ring a bell for you.  All I knew about my great grandmother was that she came from Melchbourne. I didnt know about the Riseley connection until I began to dig a bit. As I said I have a lot of checking to do on this and will let you know what I find and manage to verify.

- the Partridge info now confirms other family members on later censuses. Robert P is the youngest brother of my gt-gt-grandfather Richard b 1792 in Bletsoe. I only came across the DENNIS family connection recently so I have not researched them as yet - you info will be useful later I'm sure.

Hello Linda - thanks for the post, I will check it out - I havent found a link to your Ann.  I think the Mary Dennis who married Robert P was daughter of John Dennis & Elizabeth Rootham who married 17 OCT 1804 in Riseley, they also had son (wait for it) Dennis Dennis  chr 21 OCT 1810.

However there is another Mary Dennis chr 07 AUG 1808, daughter of William Dennis & Ann Hatten married 11 JAN 1797, they also had James 28 JUL 1805 & Ann 30 DEC 1810, all in Riseley.   

Your Ann Dennis was daughter of James D & Rebecca Dickins married 21 JUL 1803. They had Martha 1807, John 1810, & Simon Dickins 1810.
Note One of Robert's sons, James b 1847 married a Clara Dickins on 15 SEP 1865 - her father was John Dickins.

The John Woodham who married Ann was b 1794 in Milton & was living in Melchbourne with son Frederick b 1837 (as per 1861 census) Now I have a James P in my tree who married a Clara Woodhams who was born in Milton Ernest in 1877;  she was daughter of Thomas/Jesse Woodhams.

Do you know if any of your Dennis family come from Sharnbrook

Specifically Sarah Dennis who married an Edward Swannell at 
Sharnbrook on 26th Dec 1775

hi again John,
                       I havnt done much yet on the Dennis lot but I have had a look at what I have done so far. Not very much really.
       I know that Ann Dennis married John Woodham at Riseley in 1824 and that Ann was the daughter of James Dennis and Rebecca Dickens. James was born in Riseley in 1778 and married there in 1803.
          I cant find a mention of James parents on the IGI entry. Also I cant find a male Dennis who is a likely candidate of the right age to be his father living in Riseley.
      I dont really know where to go from here but I will have another bash at it. Please let me know if anything else turns up that may give us a clue.
