1851/1861 Northwich Census Request
« on: Thursday 29 September 05 18:32 BST (UK) »
Hoping to locate William Haddock (b:1799), Sarah Haddock (b:1801), Ann Haddock (b: 1838) and Thomas (b:1824).

Sarah, Ann and Thomas were all born in Northwich.  Not sure about William.  William and Sarah were married in 1820 in Witton.

Sarah is living with her daughter Ann, son in law and grandchildren in the 1871 Census.

Many thanks for any help you may give.

Sincerely;
Cas

Many thanks Nessie for your help and your time.  I appreciate the 1861 census you sent to me.

Now I know for certain where they were born and what their occupations were.

Thanks again!
Cas

Hi Cas,

The address for William Haddock would have been John Street, originally a row of terraced cottages. These days just the street sign left on one property - The Victoria Club.
Many watermen lived in this area, probably only 2 - 3 minutes walk from the River Weaver

Thank you Odessa for your fabulous information.  You are very knowledgeable in regards to the area.  I appreciate your kindness.  Now going to have to find that family on the 1851 census.

Many thanks!

Dear Odessa;

"Hope this helps?"  More than you know.  My goodness, didn't know about half the people you sent to me.  Sorry I haven't replied sooner.  I was away for the weekend.  I so appreciate everything.  This board is indeed the most helpful, understanding and just plain fabulous.

Thank you for your kindness and the time you have given me.

Sincerely;
Cas
