Hi Mc,
Would be grateful if you could find a James Cordial who served in the 28th Dragoons and the 6th Dragoon guards from 1798 to 1817
Born in Kingsborough, Longford.

I also have a notation on a Henry Cordials army record that he has a brother serving in the army who number was 1017 in the 30th regiment. It also has the figures 901 above the 30th Regiment ( I have know idea what the 901 refers to ).

Arnold ( Lancs ). Gordon ( Lancs, Scotland ). Dowling. ( Ireland, England, Massachusetts, Australia, Buenos Aires ) Pugh ( Pew) ( Cheshire & Lancs). Cordial ( Ireland )

I looked in the 1798 army list and no Cordials listed, nothing even remotely right with soundex. Sorry

Hi Mc8

Thanks you for your kind offer.  I would be very grateful if you could look in the peninsular war medal records for a Thomas FARE(or FAIR) please.   His marriage licence of 1812 in Budock, Cornwall gives his occupation as 'royal marine'

Many thanks
Dorothy
