I'm looking for any details or decendants of a Thomas William Illston, who died in Chichester in 1986.  he may have been married to an Olive Eileen Illston, who died in Dec 2000 in the same area.

Does the death certificate show a relative as informant?  Have you looked for his will?   They are available at First Avenue House, Holborn.  There is a web site which tells you all about it - probably details on the beginners' board on rootschat too.   I checked bt.com to see if there were any Illstons in the Chichester phone book but without success.

thanks for the tips - I will have a look around later.  Thanks for looking!  I think Thomas may have had two sons - Robert and Richard, both born in the Newark area - I've been on to 192.com, and there is a robert, but when I get the credits and go into the site, the name disappears!

I will get there in the end though! :)
