Looking for info on the descendants of George Alliston, born 1775 in Great Wilbraham, Cambs. He marred an Ann Fromant in 1794. Information of their family would be appreciated. I know they had 5 children, John, Robert, Mary, William and Grace.

Thanks,

These two are my husband's 3 x Great Grandparents.  Happy to share info if yo are still interested.

PM me with your email address and I'll prepare a Descendant report for you info.  Also would love to know your interest in the family.

Cheers
Rachel ALLISTON

Wow! Rachel, this looks like it could be an extremely interesting exchange of PM's coming up between you and Lisa this rather sleepy Bank Holiday Monday.  I am naturally curious to know whether Lisa's little problem with George and Ann is finally cleared up - I imagine it will be now...

...and looking back over this thread, I see that, apart from Soltaran's recent post,  the dialogue was started nearly 6 years ago, so do hope that Lisa is still on here somewhere...

After a bit of Googling I have found I responded to another query of Lisa's re this family quite a while back and haven't heard from her since.

We'll wait and see:-)  I'll do a brief Descendant report for here for anyone else who maybe interested!

Rachel,
That's really very generous of you - there's always someone out there who benefits in some way to whatever's posted on these Rootschat threads.  For a while in the past I was popping up to the CCRO and putting certain details from the transcripted PR's on a Cambridgeshire Look-up Offer thread that simply ran and ran.  I just don't get up there nearly as often these days...
I'm sure Lisa must still be active on here, hope she picks up on this comprehensive (and no doubt exhaustively researched) info on the ALLISTON family...

YW:-)

FWIW, I have details that go back to the late 1500's for the family.......somewhat sketchy....
