Thank you for the revisions to Alexandro Bassano's parentage.  I will bear that in mind when I get round to compiling the biography.

Regards and best wishes,

Brett

:-*  You are a thoughtful soul many thanks

I had gathered these - you couldn't find them in
1851 Census either ???   hmmmm I wonder where they are hiding in that year.
I am hoping to find a Census with Clement Senior alive!
Very likely the surname is mistranscribed - I've invariably found it as
Bassens, Bassang, Barsane, Bossona ... arghhhhhhh

But I figure they were still somewhere in the greater London area
as son Alexander marries in 1850 Lambeth, Surrey, and their daughter
Adelaide is born Marylebone in 1851

*always hopeful*

Hi Gaye,

I don't have access to the 1851 Census ... yet, but as soon as I do, I'll have a look.

Thanks Gaye,

That at least provides a location for him 2 years after the census.  Interesting that he should have been a clerk at the House of Commons, and I wonder how he made the step from there to photographer.  An interesting story to be unearthed, I'm sure.

Regards, Brett

Hi Gaye, I am doing some research on Alexander Bassano, the London photographer. There is an exhibition of his work planned for October 2013, the sesquicentenary of his death. Please feel free to get in touch. I see you have already had exchanges with my friend Brett in Tauranga. Cheers! Marcel, Brisbane.

Hi Gaye,

Have noticed that you were in 2005 seeking a family tree for Joseph Wright of Derby.  We the Wrights from Great Longstone and Eyam have not found any tenuous links to Joseph Wright within our family tree.

Here is the link for it in a book, The Life and Works of Joseph Wright, A.R.A., Commonly Called "Wright of Derby." by William Bemrose.  Without checking, I think a Bemrose married a member of his family.

https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=bJtDvgAACAAJ&printsec=frontcover&source=gbs_ge_summary_r&cad=0#v=snippet&q=longford&f=false

The family tree is between pages 4 and 5 of the book.

Good luck

Regards

Hugh
