Gray family of Row
« on: Friday 07 October 05 23:39 BST (UK) »
George William Gray and Norah Neilson were married in Falkirk in 1871.  Their daughter, Agnes Gertrude Gray, was born in Anderston in 1872 and their son, James Neilson Gray, was born in Row, Dunbartonshire in 1874.

I am seeking any information on this family and would be grateful for any assistance with this.

Hi Ambly

Thanks very much for this information.

Do you know whether there was anothere daughter - Norah Neilson Gray, born in Helensburgh in 1882?  She was a famous artist who may be linked to this family.

Regards

Andrew

Hi Andrew
Sorry I have no further info - but it does look very likely that the 1881 one family are hers!

You could look up her birth on Scotlands People, and or the 1891 Census there - it's very reasonable - 6GBP(costs about $16 NZ) buys 30 credits - it would cost you 1 credit to view the record index and 5 to download it., no waiting for the post for the SR records!

Good luck!
