Hi,
      I am trying to find any possible 'info' on my gg grandparents Peter ROSS & Janet ROSS (maiden surname ROSS) .They married 10/1/1834 in Fearn but I can't find any further information regarding births , parents or siblings any help would be greatly appreciated , parents for Peter are John & Betsy ROSS  ?.Have info on  three of their seven  children  including my g grandfather Robert ROSS b abt 1841 .

Just browsing today and noted on the IGI a John Ross, parents Peter & Janet Ross, born in Cromarty, Ross & Cromarty on April 12 1838.   Perhaps you have this info already, and if so, I apologize.   Torrygirl.  PS  I am a Ross, but my ancestors come from Fife.  I also have a ggg grandfather,  Peter Ross from Pittenweem, Fife.

I have this info for 1861 census for Ross & Cromarty parish of fearn villiage of Balintore.

My GG Grandmother Jean Ross born 1801 age 60 1861. May be of some connection, Joe
Family names, MacDonald on my Grandfathers side, McDonald on my Grandmother's side, on my Mothers side her Maiden Name Janet Donald Maxwell, Maxwell, Weir, Scanlon, Donald, Ritchie, Smith, Sharp.

A possible match?  From IGI:

Alexander Ross - son of Peter and Jeanet Ross.  Married Ann Grant, 3rd June 1857, Dist-Holytown, Bothwell, Lanark. Alexander was 23, Ann was 18. Dates would match if Alexander were a 'honeymoon baby'.
