hi i am desperately trying to find info on my grandfather i think he may have been born in ballyformoyle around 1897. his father was called patrick, and he was a farmer. thomas moved to england around the early 1930S to work and i know he erected electrical pylons.
this is not much to go on but if anyone out there, knows of anything that may help me i would be really grateful
                               yours in anticipation

Hi Lyndy Lou

Sorry we haven't been able to help you so far on this one.

Have you had a look at all the usual resources I tend to suggest?  ;)

The General Register Office of Ireland

The Public Record Office of Northern Ireland

Irish Roots

The National Library of Ireland

Irish Genealogy

Genealogical Society of Ireland

Irish Ancestors

National Archives of Ireland

Perhaps you would like to have a look at these resources to see if there is anything that might help you.

Please come back with any further queries or to let us know how you get on.

Best wishes

Hello Lyndy Lou,

If you've made no progress to date and you've not done so already a letter to the Editor of the Roscommon Herald might produce a result. Family history queries are occasionally published in local newspapers. www.roscommonherald.ie/general/contact.asp
