I've just given Jenal (as you probably know is on this list) this information - google "Dynes Project" for some useful information.

My Dynes came from Co Armagah - Lurgan area.

I do have some information on a Rodgers family from Co Clare.  Went to Oz and from there one went to NZ.  Don't know the area they came from in Co Clare, - names - Margaret, John & Jeremiah.  Jeremiah son of John and Margaret (Carrick) born 1826/29 Co Clare m. in OZ Ellen Casey (also from Co Clare) Lots of work done on the family of Jeremiah & Ellen

Hei Maree,

This site will enable you to find both Rodgers and Dines surnames in Ireland during the period 1848-64 when Griffiths Valuations were being conducted in the country. The name Dynes appeared in Lurgan, Co. Armagh and the name Rodgers elsewhere in the same county. They may have arrived in Co. Clare between 1864-73 http://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths.php

Yes, my Dynes come from Derrytagh, Lurgan, Portadown.
