Comyn's New Forest is an amazing book but as far as I know it is out of print  :(
You should be able to get a copy through inter library loan.

Hi Amy,
There are 17 KITCHER families mentioned in Comyn.  If you can find out who William's parents were you might be able to link with one of these. :)

Hi

I have researched the KITCHERS from Fawley, New Forest because Charles KITCHER was my half brother's grandfather.  His father our father was Charles KITCHEN.  I obtained the marriage certificate of David WHEELER to Mary Ann KITCHER March Quarter 1875 at New Forest, Hampshire.  She had a small son aged 8 named Charles KITCHER, on the 1881 census named as step son born Hammersmith Middlesex.

Charles Mark Kitcher married Bessie Matilda Andrews in 1900.

Bessie Gladys Wheeler Kitcher was born in December 1903

Reginald Charles Kitcher Wheeler was born in November 1904, there were other children who were also named Wheeler.

The marriage of my father to Bessie Gladys Wheeler took place in Fawley Church in July 1926, her father was Charles Kitcher Wheeler deceased.

A kind member of the Southampton Rootsweb list, found an entry in Fawley Parish Register for the Christening of Charles KITCHER when he was 4 with some of the children they had, and it said he was son  of Mary Ann Kitcher, whose wife of David Wheeler

My father divorced Gladys Bessie Wheeler ? Kitcher in 1930.

Hello again Bearkat,

I looked into buying the Comyn book, however, it is not available on Amazon.  :-[

Could you do another look up for me please?

William's parents may either have been ...

William/Sarah Kitcher
Moses/Elizabeth Kitcher

 I'm not sure which

Many thanks

Amy

I am making a tiny bit of progress with this line!!!

William KITCHER s/o William & Ann of North Sway was baptised 14th Jan 1821 in St. Johns of Boldre.

George KITCHER s/o William & Elizabeth of Phitmore Pond baptised 6th Jan 1833

Timothy KITCHER S/o William & Elizabeth of Sway was baptised 7th Dec 1734 St Johns Boldre

William married Ann Lawrins (b. 1795ish) in 1819. There is an Ann KITCHER age 25 of North Sway buried 11th Dec 1820, my guess would be this poor lady died as a result of childbirth, her son was baptised in Jan 1821.  Sometime between 1821 and 1833 William remarried an Elizabeth Hawkins (b. 1812 ish) with whom he had two children George and Timothy.

Ann 'Lawrins' parents may have been William and Fanny Lawrence.

And Elizabeth hawkins parents may have been Robert and Elizabeth (nee Squires)

Does any of this fit with any of the information in your Comyn book Bearkat??
