Hi Jennifer

There is not 1 single entry for the surname Moon.

I would imagine a Luggage Porter looked after the suitcases and Trunks etc when Guests arrived at a Hotel.

Hi Jennifer

It may well be what you suggest, but I thought you were referring to the 1836/37 Hastings Reg Electors.

The railway did not reach the edge of town (West St Leonards) until 1846 and the town centre in 1850.  This is at least 10 years after that Electors Register.
