My 4x grandfather was George Branscombe he was supposedly born in Devon he was a fisherman in 1808 he married Mary Hutchinson Hastings Sussex can any one help with this info Thanks Harriet :o

The IGI has the following George Branscombe
Event(s):
Christening:  11 OCT 1778   Farringdon, Devon, England
Parents:
Father:  WILLIAM BRANSCOMBE  Family
Mother:  MARY

Maybe naming patterns will help with the children though if George married a Mary then the females names could be from her name.

Did they emmigrate to Australia, if so the death certificate could have a lot of information.

Hi thanks for that no i dont think they went to Australia apparently Samuel Branscombe went to Australia and marriaed bigamously but i dont know if there is a connection to my George Branscombe    Harriet ::)

I have a bit of information on William Waymouth Branscombe who married Mary Beard at Dawlish in 1854.  He captained ships to and from Australia.

I also have Sandilands connections ...
