Hi Alex and Jan,
Hope this is the one your looking for,
27th October 1850 at Saint Mary's parish church Cheadle.
John Williamson 23 bachelor, Cotton band maker, father Thomas Williamson also a cotton band maker , residence at time of marriage Cheadle Buckeley
Sarah Ruddock 25 Spinster, father Hugh Ruddock, Broker, residence also Cheadle Buckeley.
Witnesses, Thomas Ruddock  and George Smith.
George Smith features on a lot of the certificates as a witness so I think he must have been a  member of the clergy.
Pat.

Hi Alex and Jan,

May be the parish clerk - I have the same with the witness to one of my ancestor's marriages who also witnessed several others on the same page. When I looked him up in the census he was the parish clerk.
