1871 look up please on HAYTHORNE
« on: Thursday 20 October 05 00:42 BST (UK) »
Hi

I belive in 1886 my GG Grandfather Thomas Watts married his wife Eliza Haythorne who was born about 1868.

Could someone have a look on the 1871 census to see if she appears anywhere please?

I've looked on the free 1881 and there's only one match (spelt HAYTHORNE) at Gedney in Lincolnshire.

Many thanks in advance,

Matt

Matt,

There is only one real possible in the 1871 census. However she is from Barham, Kent, but oddly enough her mother is shown as born in Gedney, Lincs.

Dwelling: Broomfield, Herne, Kent
Edmond HAYTHORN  Head  M  25  Gardener  Denton, Kent
Jane  Wife  M  28  Gedney, Lincs
Eliza  Dau  3  Barham, Kent
Mary ELizabeth  Dau  2  Herne, Kent
William  Son  1  Herne, Kent

Hope this helps
