Houghton-le-Spring look-up Please

If anyone visiting a record office or library that would possibly have time to look for the following marriages.
      William Gilbraith and Ann Low c1848
      George Gilbraith and Mary Davison 1881.
They lived all their lives in Houghton and Hylton but i am not sure which record office would be of most value.
