Am reading all this with great interest...... :o    and was wondering and hoping with all these names here that some one may have a George FLISHER b abt1860ish who married a Margaret ??? in abt 1880 he was from the Lancastershire area...not 100% where he was born...

Please he must belong somewhere ????? ??? ??? ???

What is needed is a complete review of all the GEORGE FLISHER names by decade and County.
Zelley,  Lovell, Godbold, Woods, Phillips, Lewis, Emery,
Magee, Baker, White. Flisher, Kyne, Tilston, Valence/Vallens,
Mabb/Mabbe, Bellamy, Selley, Martha Smith, Arno (of Dartmouth, Devon}.
Dorset, London, Warwick, East Anglia, Kent,  Devon
North Wales          

The ancestors lived here and there, in many scattered
places, with various occupations

Refreshing this thread to determine if there is any post 1908 interest in the Flisher name in Devon.

Re George Pettit Flisher and Mary Hollis. Can anyone confirm/refute that Mary Hollis (a widow on marriage) was the widow of John Hollis and the mother of John Manclark Hollis chr 1822?

There is a BMD death for a George Pettit Flisher 1844 Elham RD but has anyone found him in the 1841 census. There's a John Hollis "1826" with a Mary Fisher (sic) "1791" at Hougham, could this be Mary Flisher and if so where was George if that was his death 1844.
