Still struggling along on this one during the odd spare moment!

The two chaps are nearly completed, but I think I might try to find a Bowler hat for your grandfather to be holding. His position suggests to me that he is holding something, and I think a hat would look right.

I'm struggling with trying to find a dress for your mother though. If anyone knows of any websites with lots of fashion photos from the 1930s it may have what I'm looking for. It looks either like a long coat or a jacket and long skirt from the other picture you sent me.

Hi Glen,

It's coming on fine - I have the same problems with dresses etc - never really know what the shape and colour should be - have a look here it's a start:

:)

There is quite a bit of detail in the older child's face. Can't do much with the younger one, unfortunately.

Not being a dress wearer myself I wouldn't know Kieth. ::)

Joking aside ;), it looks to me there might be a glimpse of a fur trim at the bottom.

Right thats it, I've done as much as I can on this.  :-[

I have to admit that it beat me. The picture has been fighting me at every step, and in this case it won. I used every trick I could think of, and some others I can't remember thinking of, to drag as much information out as possible, but there simply wasn't much left.

Not really what I was hoping for, because I have a picture of my granddparents wedding that looks in the same state, and I had hoped that it would be possible to get a fairly decent result. Oh well.  :(

Well, here it is. At least they all have bodies now, and aren't standing in front of a black hole!

I'm off for a coffee, and a quiet sulk!!

Thank you so much Glen you've worked wonders.  Harry and Joe look very good it's just my Mum's face that isn't right.  However, if I find another photo of her that you might be able to use to get her face right I'll get back to you  ;) (cheeky aren't I?).

Certainly an improvement on what I did have!

Thanks a million
