Well if Catholic -

I think First Communion is around 7-8 ( I'm not really sure !!)
Confirmation around 13
13 also for Protestants

I thought about it - when you mentioned the cross and ring !
Maybe somebody else can give you better detail!

This handsome young man needs a name and if his real name is not known we should give him an adopted one
I love looking at this restoration work and watching all the old rellies come to life

Joe and Man of Kent,
I think he is handsome too and I would very much like him to be Robert.  Robert Waters my great great grandfather was born in Berbice, British Guiana.  In the last few days I have received a copy of his baptism certificate at St Michaels church Berbice on the 6th March 1847(from one of his grandaughters).  He lived with his family in the Andover area of Hampshire, before marrying a brummie lass and becoming the father to 4 girls, in Middlesex. He was a station master for a time and also a publican. In 1871 he was publican at the White Horse, Heston. Unfortunately he died aged only 31.  So he packed a lot in to a short life.  The plate was in the possesion of Lilian Johnson my gran, who was the daughter of one of his daughters, Georgina Waters.  So I am calling him Robert.

thanks everyone for your interest
