Just wondering if any one out there is researching any Allen family in Chalfont St Peter.

Hi Cullen,

Just read your message, i am not researching the name Allen in Chalfont St Peter  but my family name there is BODDY & JORDAN  Have you come across any?
Also Chalfont St Peter have their own web site which lists burials in the churchyard and alkso the names in the garden. I had a look and there is a Martha & Thomas Allen listed in the garden.

Sorry, I don't remember coming aross your names but I will keep an eye out for them.

Yes, I did know about the Ch. St Peter site and yes those two are part of the Allen family that I am tracing, trouble is most were baptists.

Thomas was my great uncle and I have some information on the Allen family in Chalfont St Peter but they seem to move around quite a bit with work and I have not found any Baptists yet!

Wow, its a long time ago that I posted my orriginal message. At the moment I am not sure how I knew that the family were 'baptists'

The Allen family that I have is Thomas Allen b 1816 Flaunden d 1906 Chalfont St peter, married Elizabeth Parsons. Their children wereWilliam, James, Daniel, Edward george, Maria and Lydia who was my gt Grandmother.

It does not sound as though it is the same branch but I have had problems tracking people down as they seemed to move wherever there was work.  I am stuck at Ephraim Allen born 1821 and Mary (no maiden name) born in 1825 at Chalfont st Giles.

Any help with information would be great.

PS I have found Elizabeth and Thomas in the 1881 census if that helps?

No, I don't think it was the same family either. I have my Allen family in Ch st P for quite a few years, they didn't move much  am pleased to say. Thank you for your offer but I do have al the census records for my family.
