Hi everyone,

Thanks for your help so far.  On digging deeper into a box of very old photos I have come across this one of my Grandad Horace Allen with a date on the back of 9-5-1918.  He joined up with the Kings Own Scottis Borderes and then was in 5th/6th Scottish Rifles D Convoy.  He was injured in the war with a gunshot wound to the neck and chest.

Looking at the hospital picture again the chap sat on the bed third from the left - is it my imagination or does this slightly resemble the photo of Grandad ?

Thanks everyone - have a bit more - on looking at the service records there is a mention of a Graylingwell Hospital - could this be the picture ?  Am unable to find a photo of what it looked like only that is now in a derelict state in Chichester.

Thanks to all,

On closer inspection of the service records two other hospitals are mentioned Special Military Hospital Tooting SW17 and 3rd Scottish General Hospital Glasgow - anyone know if its possible to find out if someone was a patient there ?
