RAF Bomber Crew 1945
« on: Saturday 30 May 09 08:16 BST (UK) »
The attached photograph show the crew of an RAF Lancaster bomber taken in 1945. My uncle was flying with this crew until a few days before the photograph was taken, when he was killed by flak over Germany.

It would be fantastic if this precious photograph could be tidied up and coloured in honour of these brave men. I have made a few attempts myself but the results have been awful, so I was wondering if the very talented people here could perhaps have a go  :D

In terms of the colours, I would have thought that the life jackets would have been yellow; the Lancaster was mostly black with brown camouflage at the top, but I am sure that there are some real experts out there who could advise...

Thanking you all in anticipation - John

John said to come and read this thread.
If anyone wants to have a go at colouring, please PM me as I have some decent colour references that I can pass on.
