Unless that's a mistranscription of Brechin it may be Friockheim (pronounced 'Free-come') which is mostly in the parish of Kirkden, but a small part of the village is in the parish of Farnell.

The only Allan Irvine I can see on Scotlandspeople(Births 1878-1880 Angus) and the 1881 census was born Brechin

1891 census said he was at Dundee Industrial school for Boys
Is it worthwhile searching their records of admission or do these usually show little detail?

I'd be interested to see what the original at SP shows of this 1881 census at Brechin because I think this is your Allan.
A free cross check at SP of names and ages of Ellen and sons matches but every surname appears to be indexed as Irvine.
