The sender of the picture is Trevor Monk who is currently trying to see if he can find any connection with his Crouch's from Ninfield and Brede and the Hastings Crouch family!

My grandparents James and Clara Monk ran the Beaconsfield Hotel for nearly 50 years and my grandfather also had a Haulage Contracting business in Hastings. The above is a photograph of the Beconsfield Hotel (c.1914) but I am guessing at the date. The small boy in the picture is my father Horace William Monk and he was born in 1911. The others are his parents James and Clara Monk and his brother also named James.
