Wicklow / Re: Keogh, Kelly in Glen of Imaal

Hi McIvory
I'm only seeing your post now. Lizzie Keogh was my maternal grandfather's sister. I have little information about her beyond the fact that she was married twice, firstly to James Flood in 1918 and then to Thomas Donoghue in 1924, her first husband having died in the interim.  I found no record of children from her first marriage. Was Thomas Donoghue your grandfather?

Hello James
I think the best thing would be for you to DM me with your e-mail address and we can go from there.
I'm not 100% sure of the rules but I believe you may need to have a minimum of three posts in order to use the direct message feature so you may need to post a couple of pro-forma replies to this to allow you to DM.

Dublin / Re: Deansgrange Burial records

I've checked again and I now find there is a link, "More Images", that takes you to the register.  I'm pretty sure it wasn't there when I was searching last Friday so maybe the website was being updated.    Curiously, in the grave record I searched for last week the link now appears  for six of the seven interments the grave contains.  It doesn't appear for the most recent one.  Maybe the update hasn't been completed yet.  I will check again after a while.

Dublin / Deansgrange Burial records
« on: Friday 24 September 21 23:46 BST (UK)  »
Hi
I have used https://www.dlrcoco.ie/en/cemeteries/burial-records in the past to get burial records for Deansgrange cemetery.  There was a way to get an image of the ledger page on which the burial was recorded.  This was useful since it gave address information.  Looking for a burial just now, I find there is no link to the ledger page.  Am I missing something or is it no longer possible to access the ledger image?

Dublin / Directory Look-up Clanbrassil Street Dublin
« on: Monday 03 May 21 20:53 BST (UK)  »
Hi
I'm wondering if someone with access to Thom's for the 1950s or early 1960s can look up Lower Clanbrassil Street and tell me who the occupiers of number 66 were.  The building may have been divided into 66A and 66B.
Thank you

Dublin / Re: House numbering on the South Circular Road
« on: Tuesday 17 September 19 09:00 BST (UK)  »
PS I found a newspaper death notice for Nurse MacEoin which gave her address as "18 South Circular Road (formerly 102 South Circular Road)", confirming the suspected numbering change. Also, in fairness to her, the notice shows I was wrong to conclude she had no medical qualifications just because they are not mentioned on her marriage record or in her family census return. The death notice describes her as "(C.M.B.Nurse)". C.M.B. = Central Midwives Board.
