Hello

I'm not sure about it being Sinne  - or the last letter being an 'e'  especially if compared to letter formations in the Cause of death of "Uremic Coma"

For the mother, I think her surname is "Pon" on both this DC and on the 1880 Census:

In 1880, Hebron, Orangeburg, SC
Head: James Pon 60, Farmer, b SC (parents b SC)
Wife: Satyra Pon 70, Attends to housekeeping, b SC (parents b Not Known)
Gr-Daughter:  Francis Carson 13, b SC (parents b SC)

And next door, is :
Head: Luis Pon 22, Farmer
Wife: Sylla Pon 20, works in Plantation
Dau: Irena Pon 4
Dau: Henrietta C Pon, 2 mths
All born SC, as are parents.

Also some of the records I came across, corrections offered "Boone" as a surname, instead of Pou or Pon -  perhaps changed down the line?

Hello Em,

In 1939 (Billericay) it indicates George Sheppard (b 31 Oct 1880) had a child (redacted) - but no wife listed (and his marital status is unclear). He's 58 here. Then comes Rosabel Green (later Sheppard) b 1 Jan 1895,  listed a widowed housekeeper with 3 children - the first one listed is redacted, the other two are surname "Green" (from her first marriage in 1923 to a George Green). She  would be 46 at this time - her birth looks to be registered Mar Qtr 1893 West Ham, so I would say fairly unlikely to be having a child in 1943?

There is a birth of an Iris J Shepphard, mms Dyer in Billericay, Dec Qtr 1935

Rosabell Green and George J Sheppard marry Mar Qtr 1946, Brentwood, Essex, not 1943?

Hello,

Was Ronald a twin, mms Colley? (twin may still be living?)

He was registered born Dec Qtr Walsall, as Ronald S TORR, mms Colley ?

The 1939 Register was a 'living' or 'working' document document - so as certain life events happened until abt 1991,  the record was updated - for example to show married names of females , or divorces, or name change re adoption as in Ronald's case.

The register records that Ronald was Adopted - 15.2.45 - I think it's 45. And his name became Ronald Bert Phillips-Williams. So appears that his adopted parents kept his birth first name, changed the middle name.

You may have this image - His father was Herbert Torr, died 1942

In 1851, wife Elizabeth Thomas  - who is not at home with husband Samuel - appears to be doing Nursely duties, elsewhere in Hammersmith:

At: Caroline Terrace No. 1 ( not far from Brook Green)
Visitor: Elizabeth Thomas, married, 55, Monthly Nurse, b Chorlbury, Oxon.
In household of Thomas Walley 37, and his young family  - youngest is a new born under `1 month old

In 1851, son Edward is in Kensington with his wife Mary (nee Miller) whom he married  25 June 1848 Hammersmith and 3 children: Elizabeth 5,  Harriet 2, William 6mths

A lot more to find from these leads!  ;D

Hello,

Just adding re the marriage  18 Oct 1840 - both bride and groom lited as "A Minor" for age and both resident in Fulham. Groom:  Thomas Castle, Labourer, Father: Thomas Castle , Labourer. I think the 2nd witness was "Thomas Hackman".

There is this baptism:

Mary Ann Sophia Thomas
Baptised 25  Jun 1820, Fulham Parish, Middleses
Daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Thomas
Father: Gardener
Abode: North End

And there is this 1841 Census that I'm looking sideways at:

// Brook Green Place, Hammersmith
Peg Gen (?) 8
Sam'l " Gen  2
Sam'l " Gen 43, Gardener
Eliz " Gen 40, "
Mary Castle 21, "
Tho's " Castle 21, "
Sam'l Thomas 17, "
Wm ", 6, " Thomas
//
All listed as b I (Ireland) I think ( except it looks like a T ) and except Wm Thomas, who is  Y (born in County) and all dittoed down as being a "Gardener"

Piece 690/Book1/Folio8 - page 11

I think there's been a bit of a muddle up, at the top. The 2 yr old is listed as a dittoed Carpenter.
I'd lay bets Samuel  age 43 is surname Thomas? Unless you have your fairly  newly wed Mary Ann Sophia and Thomas elsewhere in 1841?
