Merionethshire Lookup Requests / A gravestone in Corris church
« on: Saturday 23 March 13 19:56 GMT (UK)  »
Does anyone have any MIs for Corris church? I'm looking for the headstone for Mary Williams of Bristol House, Dolgellau, who was buried there on 25th November 1905. She died on 22nd November 1905 and was previously of Braich Goch Hotel, Corris.  I'm wondering if her husband David Williams (died between 1861 and 1871) is with her. Thankyou

Sir John married Eliza Hughes Davies in 1872. Eliza was born in Llanberis, and later presents her name as Elspeth. Does anyone know who her parents were, and where in Llanberis was she born? I have a distant relative with the Rhys family on the 1881 census. Diolch

Glamorganshire / Re: Cymmer mining accident 15th September 1890

Thankyou to all of you who replied to my request! The mining disaster webpage seems to class a disaster as more than five people killed, so I guess the incident in 1890 would be classed as an accident. Diolch yn fawr.
