Samuel, the 8 year old boy, was I think Mary Thursfield's son - he'd have been 10/11 in reality.


Are you sure? He's 17 on 1861. His brother Martin (not yet found in 1851) would be 10/11

In 1878 there is a marriage in Totnes - Henry Charles Wood and Mary Ellen Mugford.
