Cumberland Lookup Requests / Alexander Douglas

Being at the point in my research when I'm hitting many brick walls one brick wall which I would love to solve involves Alexander Douglas . Alexander was born circa 1756 but I have no idea where. I do know that he was married in Carlisle Cathedral Dec 14th 1782 to Elizabeth McKay/ McKie. He died in Wigton Aug 8th 1824. His Daughter Elizabeth married John Askins in Wigton April 8th 1815. Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm looking for any information with regards to Janet Cunninghame who married James Tennant/ Tennent . They were married Nov 15th 1694 in Abercorn . They were the parents of Hugh Tennant born Aug 10th 1701 Abercorn . I'm trying to find the parents of Janet . Thanks in advance for any help.

Yorkshire (North Riding) / John Hartas Dorithy Fawsitt

I'm currently trying to find the parentage of Dorothy Fawsitt married to John Hartas 1725 Thornton Dale Yorkshire. John was the son of Richard Hartas and Elizabeth Lindle . I've seen several variations of Dorithy's surname ie Fawcett , Fawsitt and Faucet . On familysearch a family tree suggests her parentage as being Christopher Fawcett and Dorothy both of Lambton Durham but I can find no evidence to support this . John Hartas was born 1698 in Lastingham so I'm guessing Dorothy would have been born say 1695 - 1705 . Any help in finding her parentage will be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I'm looking for any information with regards to Elizabeth Gray who married Joseph Chicken in 1831 at All saints church Newcastle upon Tyne . 1851 Census has her birth as Longbenton Northumberland circa 1811 and the 1881 census has her birth as Killingworth Northumberland. Any information with regards to her parentage would be appreciated . I believe she died in 1889 in Houghton Le Spring .

I have recently hit a sticking point , one of many hence this post. I have recently discovered James Raw born circa 1609 Morpeth . Parents are Robert Rawe and Alison / Alisona Challina married 1583 Morpeth . There is a family tree on familysearch suggesting her parents as Lancelot Errington and Mabel Lawson born 1563 Morpeth . There are many Challener's in Morpeth and I find it hard to think that her father is Lancelot Errington as he was married 1570 Northumberland . Any help in finding the identity of her true parentage would be appreciated.

Looking for any information with regards to Edward Lewis who married Ann Griffiths May 9th 1782 in Whitchurch Shropshire. They had a son called Edward born may 11 1788 in Whitchurch Shropshire who married Mary but I don't know her surname. Looking to find any information with regards to Edwards birthplace , parentage etc and also Ann's.

Hi Everyone
I'm trying to find the parents of Alexander Douglas who married Sarah McKay or Mckie In Carlisle . Marriage dated Dec 14 1782 or 1781 . They were the parents of Elizabeth Douglas born Carlisle Sept 11th 1792. I was hoping that if I could find the actually marriage record itself it would at least give me the name of Alexander's father. I can't at the moment remember where I found the date of their marriage , possibly familysearch or findmypast .
Any help will be very much appreciated.

I'm trying to find the birth and parentage of Elizabeth Lazonby of Kilpin Yorkshire . She had a daughter Hannah born Nov 25th 1744 in Howden . I have found no records up to now of Elizabeths birth but it could be circa 1720 or thereabouts.

Looking to find the marriage details of James Askins and Martha Ritson . Martha was the daughter of Bolton Ritson ( Riton ) and Mary Brown. James and Martha were the parents of Sarah Askins who married Robert Graveson. Sarah was born Aug 8th 1855 Cockermouth so possibly the marriage of James and Martha was in Cockermouth but I'm uncertain. Sarah married Robert Graveson 25 Dec 1872 All saints church Cockermouth.
