Could someone help with tracing a Grace Porteous  b 1826c Wamphray , Dumfrieshire,parents James Porteous and Grace Henderson. I have found a Grace Porteous in Toronto in 1851 ,and a death in 1857.in Toronto. But can`t connect to parents. Can`t find her in 1841 census in Scotland ,so I think she may have emigrated but not sure where.
Any help would be gratefully received

Does anyone have any knowledge of a family called Dickinson who lived on St Helena ,S Atlantic. in 1886. Specifically Mary Ann Dickinson,married John Henry Noon.1886. I am trying to find her parents. She was born on the island in1871.Can`t find a birth cert for her ,tried all the usual sources FindMyPast. GRO,MILITARY SOURCES etc.
Would be grateful for any info. on her parents. She settled in Stirling Scotland ,1901 census

I believe my grandfathers medals 1914/1918 were sold off by a member of my family .He was Michael O`Brien , Royal Scots( Fusiliers ?) On a photo I have he is wearing trews and I think a Glengarry ? with ribbons.He was b 1897 so would be about 17 in 1914 . He came from Dunbar East Lothian,Scotland. If anyone finds them on E bay or other sites I would be grateful for any information.

I have an entry for a James Obrien  d 1917 , France and Flanders, private , Royal Scots (Lothian Regiment)

I have tried on CWG,but just getting zero,even with the number.
Born 1884 Dunbar EAST lOTHIAN sCOTLAND . Parents Partrick O brien and Bridget Gilhooley

I am looking for the mother of Bessie Nora Sandercock . She was Catherine O`brien married to John William Noon.I believe they divorced and she may have moved to England , possibly Manchester or Leeds .Any information would be welcome. She was my Great Aunt, born in Scotland

Could anyone help me find the birthplace of Francis Taylor b 1819  England !  d 1867  Dunbar, East Lothian,Scotland. wife was Ann Robertson. The only clue I have is what seems to be a relative living in Budle Northumberland, a  James C Taylor , B Dunbar 1835c.on 1871 census for Budle district 12,Northumberland. His wife Elizabeth , daughter, Isabella son Adam, all born Dunbar ,and daughter Jane, and son Thomas born Berwick on Tweed. Francis and Ann`s children include a Jane and Adam, and Isabella. Francis `s( b1819),father was also Francis Taylor b ? , a druggist on Francis (b 1819) death certificate. .
Any information would be appreciated.
