I Have What starts as a simple search it seems I am looking for
Richard William Woods born 28th Jan 1885 Hendon Middlesex

I know he was the oldest and that the rest of the family were born in battersea and his parents are still in the wandsworth district with most of the family in 1911. but i can not find Richard anywhere. can someone double check for me am I missing something.

even if I miss out middle name and just year of birth +/- 5 yrs there are only about 100 listings none that I can see match.

 ???but now it gets confusing my mum showed me a discharge letter dated 1910 from the army, it is defiantly Richards except his letter calls him William Jones!! the story goes he lied about his name because he was too young or in trouble with the law!! letter says he had 5 years good service which would make him 20 so not too young so was he in trouble and still using this name in 1911???

he used Richard woods in 1912 when he married in Essex. so I think he not moved far, middlesex, Essex, wandsworth.

I go on holiday in 2 days and this is driving me mad 
or am i looking too hard.

Hi! I have found this record defiantly my relative but he seems to be living with his parent/s. so I'm assuming his wife Mary has died she appears in no other census. Mary johnson VERY common name as you can imagine.

I cant seem to find a way to view who else is in the household
Can anyone tell me how to using LDS or look up details for me.
I believe his parents are Robert and Ann
Dont know where they come from

Hi I am trying to trace my great great great grandmother
Emma Yardley

Facts I know

Married in jun 1857 rochford Essex, to thomas potter.

1861/1871 census tells me she was born in Bishops stortford and sawbridgeworth, abt 1834

she died Sept 1877 Rochford,Essex.

I have found on LDS website a baptism record for Sawbridgeworth
14 may 1834 parents john and Ann

there are also other children named to john and Ann Yardley including another Emma in 1845
searched census found the rest of the family but not my Emma

I'm wondering if the transcription is wrong (Parents or Date??) Can anyone double check this for me.

Sadly I have found what may be a match 1841 in Bishops stortford workhouse a group of Yardley children. :'

I am looking for any information on the death of my grandmas brother.

She recalls him as being older then this, but says she remembers well that he was sent to the shop accross the road and told to hurry, he apparently ran straight under a horse and cart

I do not live never essex is there anywhere on line I can try to find information about his death, newpapers etc.. any help please !!
