Durham Lookup Requests / STODDART in 1891 1901 please

I have John Thomas STODDART bn abt 1860 married to Selina Margaret ROSE in 1885 at West Hartlepool. His father was Thomas and hers James ROSE.

I would like to find them in 1891 and 1901 if possible please.

I am researching my husband's grandmother Jane SPENCELAYH. I am not getting on very well with this surname!!

I have her sister Margaret married to John WOOD. Children Robert, Midddlesbro 1852 Edward Spencelayh, Middlesbro 1845 and John 1836 Whitby.

I have just purchased the books of 1851 census Middlesbrough. HO107/2383 Folios k to z 190 - 412

I have recenty purchased the marriage of Henry KITCHEN 9 Nov 1890. He was aged 16 in Bickerton on the 1881 Census. He fitted with mine - Great grandfather William KITCHEN from Myton who was also in Bickerton so I purchased the marriage. He quotes his father as George KITCHEN deceased, on the marriage certificate.

I need to find him in 1871 please?

I am researching the ROSE family I married into, and would like some help please, if possible.

James ROSE from Middlesbrough bn 1850 Married - Mary Ann MITCHELL bn 1859 at Hartlepool in 1878.

I have them in Stranton with a daughter Mary E ROSE aged 1.

David William HUNT is the father named on the marriage certificate of my Uncle Alfred KITCHEN, who married Hilda May HUNT in Gateshead in 1921.

On Free BMD he married in 1897 a Jessie or Mary.

I would like to find who he married please?

I applied for a marriage certificate for Ann BULLERWELL and George WATSON stating that George WATSON's father was George and the Registrar rang me to tell me the father was not George for this marriage, in 1858.

She has returned my cheque which I will use for the correct marriage.

I need to see how many children my 2 x gt gt grandparents had please.

Durham Lookup Requests / 1851 Census 1861 Census please

In my copy of the1851 CENSUS my WATSON family George's place of birth is missing as is his wife Lydia.

They are with my gt grandparents Nicholas GRAYDON and Jane WATSON now GRAYDON.
George is 54 and Lydia his wife 54 no place of birth.

As it is an index I might have missed further members.

I have found George WATSON a widower aged 46, in 1881, bn Winlaton in Chopwell. He is a Woodman with 8 acres.

With him are children, Robert B, 22, Charlotte A, 20, Thomas J, 16, Martha E, 12, Mary J, 8. There is also a nephew aged 2 Henry BULBSWELL aged 2. They are all born Winlaton. I also need his wife's Christian name.

He seems to be the brother of my 2 great grandmothers, Jane WATSON and Hannah WATSON.

I cannot find anyone with the surname BULBSWELL, any suggestions of what this surname might be would be helpful.

Durham Completed Look up Requests / Completed 1841 and 1851 Census please

I am researching my CODLING family from Ryton. Lydia CODLING married George WATSON in 1818.

I am trying to research the marriages of her brothers. Robert, John and Nicholas. On the Census that I have found, they claim to be born at Barlow Winlaton.

Robert born in 1785 seems to have married Ann REED Lanchester in 1809.

They seem to have 2 children John CODLING Chr Ryton 1810
Nicholas Ch Ryton 1813. Are there any further children?

John CODLING seems to be on the 1881 Census aged 70 bn Barlow Master Joiner Employing 2 men, with his son Nicholas and Robert a Joiner, who is there too with his wife Mary and daughter Margaret.
