« on: Sunday 18 June 17 14:02 BST (UK)  »
Would like to correspond with anyone who has connections to Barr of Meedanmore.  I have found two death certs, one for Catherine Barr died 1865 informant Margaret Barr.  Patrick Barr died 1865 informant Thomas Barr.  I believe Thomas Barr is the father of Anne Barr McCallion (my line) and Mary Barr McCann, both lived side by side in the townland of Gortnamonagh, Three Trees.

Hi Rootschatters,

I found an obituary in Australia that tells me that three of my great grandmother's brothers' went to the USA.  I have no idea when or where they went to in the States.

Terence Haren born 3 February, 1865
Daniel Haren born 25 March, 1870
James Haren born 15 December, 1872

Parents names were John Haren and Hannah Murphy Haren of Tullaghaboy, Kilmaley, Co. Clare, Ireland.

I would appreciate any ideas. :)

Renfrewshire / McLaughlin - Margey
« on: Friday 28 November 14 12:06 GMT (UK)  »
Hi Rootschatters,

I am looking for any information of the following family please.
James McLaughlin and Bridget Margey where married in November, 1859 in Inishowen, Co. Donegal, Ireland and moved to live in Greenock.  So far I have found seven children -

Edward born 1863, Patrick born 1865, Sarah born 1867, John born 1869, James born 1871, Patrick (2) born 1873 and a possible Susan.

I have the birth records for six of these children and the death records of James and Bridget.  James was an Egg Merchant and the last address in 1896 (when he died) was Duff Street, possibly his son Edward's residence.

Watts Library and Scotland's People were my sources.  If anyone recognizes this family, I would like to hear from you. :)

Clackmannanshire / Obituary Help!
« on: Wednesday 05 March 14 13:34 GMT (UK)  »
My ancestors are buried in St. Canice's R C graveyard in Limavady, Co. Derry, Ireland.  I have found a flat stone grave buried within the surround of my family's grave.  I am totally baffled as to who he is and is he related my family?  Here is the details on his headstone;

Gloria in excelisus Deo.  IHS.  Of your charity, pray for the soul of Rev James Duffy, Pastor of Alloa, Scotland, whose remains are interred here, died 22 November, 1865, aged 50 years.

I would like to obtain his obituary and hopefully find why he is buried long side my ancestors.

Thank you.
