Looking for
Thomas Boyle and wife,
Margaret ( nee unknown.)
They were at the wedding of their son, also Thomas Boyle, Jan 8th 1883 at St Mary's Catholic Church.(The Hidden Gem)
The address given as their residence at that time was
85 Sunnyside Street, Salford (destroyed by bombs in WW2)
They and their son were born in Ireland ( believed in Co. Leitrim.)
Their son, Thomas, was born about 1862/3. I could not find them on the 1881 census. Both father and son were cattle dealers.
Maybe they came from Ireland only for the marriage, but the residence given makes me wonder if they were residents in Salford.
If they are on the 1881 census I could not see it. However I thought maybe a look on the 1871 and the 1891 etc would be worth a try.
I would love to know if there were other siblings or any details at all about this couple as I know nothing really about them. Many thanks in advance.
Here is some adlition information just in case it is of interest or value.
Thomas Boyle married another Boyle( just to complicate things
He married Annie Maria Boyle. She was a (sewing) machinist on the 1881 census.
I have the brides family on the censuses. at 10 Medlock St Hulme. on the 1881, Thomas Boyle Junior was living as a lodger( why ?) with Annie Maria and her mother, MaryBoyle ( and romance bloomed.) The young lovers were both 18.
Parents of Annie Maria were John ( deceased 1874) b about 1834 and Mary Boyle(nee unknown) born about 1833, born Co Tyrone.
Ireland. I have no ages for Thomas Boyle Sr. and Margaret, but perhaps, as they were of the same generation as the bride's parents, their birthdates would be about the same time.
There was also a mysterious James Boyle age 72 lodger on the 1881 census, at the bride's residence. Perhaps a grandparent of either the bride or groom.
