Northumberland / Gibert Michel, 1205
« on: Sunday 22 August 10 08:25 BST (UK)  »
I am looking for the Curia Regis Rolls of Northumberland, 1199 - 1216 during the reign of King John. Aside from the National Archives, Kew, is there anywhere else I can search to locate information on Gilbert Michell???
I really need to just be pointed in the right direction, and please don't tell me to visit local registry offices in Northumberland as I live in Australia.
Any guidance would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Diane

« on: Monday 09 August 10 02:38 BST (UK)  »
I am looking for the parents of Ralph Russell Shorto.
DOB: 23 May 1908 Place: Portsmouth
We know a little about his naval career, and the fact he was awarded
the "Distinguished Service Cross" in june of 1940, following the 2nd Battle of Narvik.
We also know he died 22 NOV 1956 and was buried in Naples, Italy while still actively serving in the Royal Navy.
We also found a 4 line obit referring to his mother as Mrs. H.R. Shorto of Recife, Brazil.
We have not been able to locate any other information.
Can anyone help me locate his parents???
Any information is greatly appreciated.
Cheers from Australia
