Leicestershire Lookup Requests / PARKER Matthew Rothley area
« on: Thursday 11 February 16 10:56 GMT (UK)  »
I am just starting to pursue my Parker line.  They probably lived around the Melton Mowbray area.

I have found the will of Matthew Parker, yeoman of Rothley, dated 1761, which confirms some of his children as William Mary Jonas and Daniel.  I am descended from Jonas via his daughter Mary who married John Besson, I think.

Would it be possible to check the Rothley baptisms to see if Matthew was baptised there, probably about 1692?  There is a marriage of a Matthew Parker at Barrow on Soar in 1711 to an Ann Adcock which looks a possiblity

I also found a baptism of an Elias to Matthew and Elizabeth.  The other children have an Ann as their mother or none mentioned.  Ann was his wife at M's death.

Thank you.

Rutland Lookup Requests / Belton Marriage: George Isset and Ann Coks
« on: Thursday 17 September 15 13:18 BST (UK)  »
I would be most grateful for a look up of the marriage register for this marriage that took place on 21 Jul 1783 in Belton, Rutland.  I wondered whether there might be extra information available such as  whether either had been widowed or  came from another parish.

Thank you

Leicestershire Lookup Requests / MEDBOURNE PARISH REG - HOLMES
« on: Monday 14 September 15 15:32 BST (UK)  »
Hi
I am trying to find  the baptism of Hannah, the daughter of John and Sarah(nee Redhead) Holmes who married in Medbourne on 14/2/1791.  I have found several of her siblings but not her.  She was born about 1794 but it may have been slightly earlier.  On her marriage to William Issit she is living in Tugby, but her mother was from Medbourne and her other siblings were also baptised in Medbourne.  On various census she cites Medbourne as her birthplace.
Any help gratefully received.

Glamorganshire Lookup Requests / Look up Meyrick MORGAN -Laleston baptism
« on: Saturday 25 June 11 21:08 BST (UK)  »
Does anyone have access to the baptism records of Laleston, Glamorgan, please? I would be very grateful for a lookup.  I am looking for the parents of Meyrick Morgan in 1815 for a friend.   Meyrick subsequently married Priscilla Jenkins at Coychurch.

Moray (Elginshire) / ANDERSON David and SHAW Agnes married 1815
« on: Thursday 29 July 10 18:27 BST (UK)  »
The IGI has a marriage for the above on 26th March 1815 in Forres, Moray.

There is also a marriage of a David Anderson in 1815 which shows him as David Leiutennant (sic) Anderson.

I have the birth of a David Anderson in 1817 in Yarmouth, Norfolk to David and Agnes Anderson, Lieutenant 21st Reg Infantry, from the image of the parish register on the new igi search.

I realise that this is a long shot but I have searched the Norfolk marriage register and can find no trace of a marriage, nor find them in a census.

Could some kind soul please look up the original parish register in Forres and see whether there is any further information about this couple?

I am not at all familiar with Scottish records.  Any help or advice would be much appreciated

Nottinghamshire Lookup Requests / William THORPE marriage at Cuckney
« on: Monday 10 May 10 09:26 BST (UK)  »
I have found on the IGI a marriage at Cuckney of William Thorpe to Ann Greaves.  Could some kind soul check the original entry to see if there is any further information on the two people.

I am hoping that William Thorpe may have come from Papplewick, or that Ann may have come from New Sleaford.

Names of witnesses/parents would also be appreciated

I shall be away on holiday from Thursday, so no hurry.

Thank you so much

I have a spreadsheet of baptisms, marriages and burials of Hallaton which I concocted from Parish registers and BTs.  The periods covered are:

Baptisms: 1709 - 1878

Marriages: 1729 - 1836

Burials: 1729 - 1878

Willing to do lookups.

There are a few missing years and some of the records were indecipherable and muddled, so there will be errors and omissions.
